Axemaster : “Blessing in the skies ” DLP 6th October Pure Steel Records. USA Heavy Metal with a slight touch of Thrash Metal band. If you heard their last record when it came out “Overture to madness” you were certainly happy to hear a Heavy Thrash sound. Well this double vinyls with their early materials reminds you they had that 80’s sound with speed and kick ass riffs. Having different singers and musicians, while the main guitarist Joe behind the compositions we can hear the differences over the years as the band evolved.

Only 200 copies will be available so run as it will go fast. If you know the band then you the fans will jump straight on it. Composed of demos and albums from 1986 to songs from 1991 and 1993 , the 19 songs will send back in time when band where blasting riffs with that sound we don’t hear anymore and was the mark of the early 80’s. Influences ranging from Mercyful fate, Meliah Rage, Dementia, Rogue Male, Britny Fox, Attila, Madam X, Alice Cooper, Lizzy Borden …to name a few.

The change of singer brought a darker feel and so you will notice the difference from the earliest material. In general its a good album every MetalHeads should own, but there will be only a few ! “Slave to the blade” “blessing in the skies” and more so hold on tight and get driven by the riffs master 96/100.
