Chao[s]ab : ‘CLose Encounter of Another Kind’ CD self release July 2017. Belgium Instrumental / Atmospheric / Psychedelic / Rock / Pop band. A one man project expressing many aspect of life with different songs . A text inside explaining the reason for that album ‘a search of the inner self of mankind in this universe lost amongst a whole ‘. The intro has an inspiration of ancient music leading you to fly in a desert or a unknown planet, driven by keyboards and electronic drums. Each song has its own identity and I just can regret their is no smooth passages in between so it stops straight away and lead you into another dimension when jumping into another song track. Imagine watching The Twilight Zone episodes and getting attracted to the deep dark hole with no end.

Well here is just music, but it gets you floating into a world, the artist’s mind. More than just an instrumental album it has a specific feel that will capture your soul and won’t let you go. Ten tracks plus two bonus ones sometimes calm sometimes speed with diverse influences. Most of the album reminds me the 80’s Mike Old Field, Duran Duran, Pink Floyd, Jean Michel Jarre, U2….some are just great for movie soundtracks.

Some songs have more present guitar heavy catchy riffs to make you shake your butty. A good album that go further than just music, it captures your imagination like a painting and lead you to explore your mind 95/100.
