Millennium : “Awakening” CD October 2017 self Release. UK Heavy / Thrash Metal band. Formed in 1982 by Mark Duffy , Pete McArdle ,Dave Price , Dave Merrington. Â After few demos that got lots of fame the band disbanded in 1988 where Mark became the singer of the awesome band Toranaga.
Although the band released an album few years ago, line up and else got the band in the shadow of its previous legendary first album. Mark Decided to get back to his first band Millennium in 2015 but before that No Remorse Records rereleased Millennium’s debut album  in 2014 and a second one in 2016 having all the demos to get a refresh light for the Metal history.
2017 gets the band releasing a brand kick ass new album! While the early songs were more into the NWOBHM this albums is a mix of Heavy and Thrash giving Toranaga some kind of following. Mark ‘s voice being responsible for that, powerful vocals pounding heavy tunes it gets you straight into the heart an you just wanna mosh.
A video  ‘false reality ‘ the first song on the album, with lyrics talking to all of us with rockin riffs gets in your head pretty easy and so actual. The album has eleven songs with lots of messages about today ‘s society . “Awakening”  title of the album is the fifth song,  has a great solo intro punching in the stomach. Getting that Thrash power bringing you back in the days of the 80’s.
Most songs are made so you will sing along during live shows! Influences from Accept, Judas Priest, Laaz Rockit, Lethal, Toranaga, Heathen, Running Wild, Tygers of Pan Tang… this is pure Metal!!! Get that masterpiece cos it will stay in memories for long 100/100.
