Sophie Lloyd :”Delusions” CD & Digital 10th January 2018 produced by Jason Wilson. UK Solo Guitarist. Being a fan of musicians ladies, I must say when I popped into one Utube video from her covering some Metal bands I really liked her style. The good thing today is they are many female guitarists which is good, but they mostly record covers. If internet existed when I was a kid I’m not sure I would have done so many videos playing my favourites bands…
Anyway I followed her and she wrote about having her own tunes out. Her first video in children playground is cool and have lots of melodies. She somehow makes me think of Nita Strauss, a nice and humble person with lots of talent. She had the honor of learning at  The British & Irish Modern Music Institute London and proves that she is 100% in her music creation.

The MCD has five songs that are all linked, we can hear her style. She is using taping and fast licks mixed up with melodies that catches your ears to listen more. I found in her way of playing a bit of Lo Nero playing melodies that speak to you like she is singing with her guitar and that is a brilliant point to me. Reminding the master Joe Satriani feel and one song with Iron Maiden parts , she is definitively a great player who knows how to melt those magical parts to drive you mad.
The drums on the album are played by Jason Wilson who produced “Delusions” at Stake Out Studios , which gives it a really professional sound. As usual with great artist like Sophie, I ‘m yearning for a complete album and I’m sure she will deliver the best. While the Ep is available as digital please buy her the CD it’s the most you can do to support that young girl who will make a trace in the music.  I can’t tell how much I love that musician girl , and her music is just the perfect fit for all the guitar enthusiastic people like me. So get it now or you will regret it 100/100.
