Weapon UK : “Ghosts Of War” CD & LP 27th September 2019 Pure Steel Records. UK Heavy Metal band . The legendary NWOBHM band is back with an amazing album. They chose a cover of the war to illustrate their new album. Since the early eighties bands are all back on the scene to bring back the awesome tunes we all cherish, maybe the ghosts are back to.

For sure this album is oriented seventies without a doubt and so they are keeping the sound that made them who they are now. Rocking tunes, entertaining songs, Weapon UK knows the music to kick us out! So prepare the dance floor you will be head banging like crazy, back to the youth when you were swinging in your bedroom.

It is hot , it is rock you will play it loud. I can’t get enough of those classic tunes , a brand new album with compositions sending back to those days. Heavy riffs and melodic vocals, the music inside is far happier than the cover. Some songs even sound like movie soundtrack.

The first song album ‘s title has a video with the retro effects from the eighties and a guest vocal ex- Thundermother singer Clare Cunningham. As Pure steel records is a fan of the eighties as we are , they will release an LP with bonuses. One song from their classics and a special one in an Irish way. So you can expect some serious album to kick your butt as the band knows how to do. While some bands go forward we can say Weapon UK chose to go backward. In a good way as we all yearn for those best years of music and since it is really hard to evolve as a band, why not reinventing the good old tunes to release an awesome album everyone will love.

Playing music is first having fun and enjoying some good tunes to play as many times you want, so without surprise those compositions will get you think of great songs! “Ghosts Of War” , “79 revisited” , “Emerald God” , “All I need” … Each song is a pleasure and the album is strong and well done.

Influences ranging from Blue Oyster Cult, ZZ Top, Thin Lizzy, Alice Cooper, Def Leppard, Steppenwolf, The Dead Daisy.. Danny Hynes ‘s voice is enchanting your soul and you can’t get out from his bewitched melodies. The catchy riffs and solos from Jeff Summer are just perfect and gives a special touch that is as Heavy as powerful.

Some songs even have that bluesy / Country style that make them special and awesome. This is pure honey for your ears 98/100.
