50 year anniversary tribute to Pink Floyd : “Wish You Were Here – 50 Years Later’’ Digipack CD and LP 12th September 2025 Pale Wizard Records.
I once reviewed an album from the label who records tributes to the greatest bands. It is always a pleasure, first cos they are doing a real artistic work. The cover album is a great painting that needs no introduction made by Sara-Jane Swettenham.
Secondly because they ask bands who shared the stage with the bands or are just amazing artists who have the ability to cover the great songs ever made. The songs may sound weird to you, but it’s an amazing work to cover and modify a song with your own creations. A blend we are not used to.
For sure the album has something different, the root from the main artist is here but the creation of the ones playing it. Gives the album a modern touch. So you may here diverse versions from Doom, Heavy Metal, Stoner and so on.
As usual, the CD has gotten bonuses the LP doesn”t have, making this album a collectible item.

At first it is a bit awkward, starting with a slight intro change to the other songs getting more tainted by the band’s sound. Powerful heavy distorted sound. Screaming vocals and down tuned guitars. You can hear influences from Black Sabbath to Muse and Soundgarden… The further you get the heaviest the covers are.
Dive into the pshychedelic heavy Metal album to give credits to this awesome band and such a great album that will forever let you to the clouds.
A must-have whatever you age or likes 100/100.
