Anchor and Burden: “Sunken Fleet” Digital 8th August 2025 Self Released. German jazz / Progressive / Rock / instrumental band.

The band is back with a five track EP this time. Another amazing cover artwork, looking like people absorbed by the infinite. Still this dark color surrounding. The instrumental quartet, is following a storyline while having no lyrics and no singer.

You can read their story on their bandcamp page and website. Musically, it is always diverse with sounds and intrigue parts opening your mind to other universe. Some tracks could be movie soundtracks. It reminds me of the cartoons which used sounds to describe movements.

As the band describes: “Dive into the deep. Discover the SUNKEN FLEET beneath“. Immerse yourself into the abyss where sounds join the peacefull life.

As there is no video made right now, I let you enjoy this one:

Tapping sticks, drums and synth mixed up into an atmosphere that blends music styles. Influences can be found in Pink Floyd, Yes, Genesis, and many others even if it might not catch you at first.

A piece of art, each track as a lenght that brings this album as it should get. It feels like it will never end. Close your eyes and get your soul driven with pleasure.

Anchor and Bruden is set to spread tunes to clear your mind and just enjoy the creativity of musicians.

Recorded by Arno Jordan at Castle Studios, Röhrsdorf, Germany
Mixed by Stefano Castagna at Ritmo&Blu Studio
Mastered by Erik Emil Eskildsen
Produced by Markus Reuter and Alexander Paul Dowerk

For those who like creativity and imagination, 100/100.
