Back in 1990, I was surprised in the UK to find tapes with two sides like a 7″inch LP. Since it was a new thing I bought a few. As my tape deck used to eat my tapes, I destroyed several and stopped wasting my money on them and sold the tapes to friends.
The idea was a good thing while I prefer LPs. They also made two singles CDs that don’t made it either in the music sales. Probably expensive releases and people didn’t catch up as people used to buy albums. Nowadays, it shows that it was a great invention as people are more likely to buy singles than albums.
The digital age proves, it was a great idea. Yet releasing Tapes are kind of a revival for the fans of the physical items. If you still have a tape deck then this is for you for the others it exists as a digital. The digital always hits first, released on the 15th November 2024.
So it’s pretty late for the Tape release but will get you discover the band or just buy a physical item to own something from your favorite band.
