Acid Reign : “The Age of Entitlement” 27th September 2019 Dissonance Productions . UK Thrash Metal band.

After twenty four years , the band is back with a powerful new album. They have thrashed our souls since the eighties and like many bands in 1991 they disbanded. When the music has changed and the bands who sticked have musically changed the music style. The same year Thrash Metal became an old punchy style we loved, to create some new weird bands that made Metal a strange music style today. So it is with pleasure that Thrash is reviving and those old bands are back to kick the scene again with rage and anger.

Acid Reign brings back some old good heavy riffs that kicks ass. A label that is signing all the great bands reviving the eighties with power. They released a video in the summer, a box set is sold for Xmas with all their albums re-released for the fans and everyone who just discovered them live. This is a band that loves the stage and it is where they are the most active and powerful. Their strength is the rage they spread with their heavy sound and moshing attitude.

We have a here an album in the way it used to be. This album could have been done in late eighties. It is heavy , it thrashes with the good receipt of kicking riffs. Ten tracks with great solos and lyrics to talk to you about life in general, “United Hates” , ” Sense of Independence” , ” New Age Narcissist” .. they all have a special message like any Thrash Metal bands used to express themselves with the anger and heavy tunes. This is an awesome album that most Thrashers who loved the eighties will love for sure. Acid Reign is keeping the roots of it all and it sounds so good.

The logo hasn’t changed and keep it’s very strong effect that always made this band what it is. A cover artwork that can be understood in many ways, is it the clown from Batman? or just an expression of what people looks like today.. it is your way to dive into the brain of the singer Howard H Smith ‘s lyrics to understand his point.

Check this video and dig the tunes :

I am sure you love it and want to hear more so get this last album that kicks some ass. Acid Reign is a strong band and it feels so good to hear those amazing tunes that blows you away. Influences ranging from Anthrax, Heathen, Wargasm, Coroner,  Slammer...It is heavy and it bleeds real Thrash Metal.

A great album to own in your collection 100/100.
