Inadream: “Strange Words” Digipack CD and Digital 18th October 2024 Echozone. German Punk / Rock / New Wave band.
The second album from this original band is hard to pinhole in a case. Their music has many influences melting into nice rock tunes. This new cover is very different from the first one, yet you get confused if you never heard of the band at first sight. The name is small and each words have different colors.
The first song has an eighties New-Wave intro with the voice reminding an Irish Punk singer. The mix makes it cool, I imagine live it must be slightly louder and bewitching the crowd. The old spirit of the good tunes we used to listen to back then.
Overall it is close to classic rock, with one song reminding Madness, you can dance without a doubt with Inadream. Raw and right in your face. I even find some influences from the fifties.
Check it out:
With diverse influences, it is Punk in the spirit with classic electric guitar plugged into the amp without effects. It is like getting back to the early days of demo bands. A bit of Smashing Pumpkins type.
We are so used to the huge production sounds, that it feels good to hear a pure band. Their song “White Light” is a hit single. The band even made a song with the title of the band’s name at the end of the album. Straight forward cool guitar riffs and very concentrated on the voice. Frank Bottke (the singer) has many things to say.
Inadream is for all the people into those raw sounds and willing to dig the lyrics.
A good album if you wanna go back to the early days of Punk Rock 90/100.
