Joy Ike live at The Crossroad Café Angoulin France on the 7th of December 2023. USA Blues / Soul band.

Due to a live event, I couldn’t interview and film the ladies. I did attend and watch the show. I was pleased to hear about this magical event that Joy and her sister played that night. Wasn’t expecting to see two ladies playing everything on stage. One sister plays the drums with different instruments and with her mouth. The other Joy, singing playing piano and Ukulele.

They know how to entertain people, although it’s not easy when you don’t speak the language of the country you are playing in. They learned a few words to introduce themselves to the crowd. That is the least you should do when visiting a country you don’t know. Few people understood English. I wish I could be their translator for the night…

Joy was talking about the theme of the lyrics during the songs, making them more like a storyteller. Her voice and power being the piano resonated in this big place. They caught everyone’s attention and no one could get away. They even make the crowd play with little instruments and ask them to sing along.

This was a great live act. Out of the ordinary band type thing, they both spread peace and love with their songs.

Have a listen:

Their manager recorded pieces of their event;

A little taste;

People couldn’t go before asking for more, it’s just powerful and peaceful at the same time. The lyrics resonate into each self. No matter if you experienced the same thing, it touches deep every souls as life is hurting.

The fans could get hold on to their LP they had for sale. They gained lots of fans that night.

Check em out they worth it 100/100.
