Tokyo Blade : ” Dark Revolution” LP & CD & Digital 15th May 2020 Dissonance Productions / Back On Black Records. UK Heavy Metal band.

The band started in early eighties, had many line up changes and many albums. Since 2008 they are back with the first line up. Fans come and go, some follow a band until the end. We can say they have their history to create this enthusiasm Metal Heads yearn for. So it is with no doubt  the band is still as strong as it was back in the days.

Tokyo Blade is a name, a logo and musicians with excellent abilities to create great songs you keep in mind. While this new album has something eighties, it has raw anger and power we love. The die hard fans will be able to dig into the collection to compare from the previous albums. I must say I have the first LPs and didn’t really follow much.

It is a good album, a cover like no other even if the fist has been used in many artists cover arts. Emotions and feelings with melodies and catchy riffs, you are embarked into Tokyo Blade‘s Heavy Metal tunes. You will love it so much you won’t be able to stop listening to it. It has lots of hits to blast your days. I feel like I’m in 85 again. It has the life and sound from those early days with better sound for sure.

Since the band doesn’t have a new video, I’ll you enjoy this one :

The previous album is in the same vein with the new one, NWOHM for life! Those entertaining tunes that make every one happy and dancing. Pure joy for the soul. They keep the flame alive and this is great. Seeing so many eighties bands back on the scene, get me thinking again those years we lived were great.

With influences from the best such as Def Leppard, Judas Priest, Iron MaidenTokyo Blade is stronger than ever. A great album to fill up your collection of eighties classics 98/100.
