The early eighties, the band that would make me crazy. It’s one of my favorite bands, and it has raw, real messages talking to me. “I wanna be somebody” Who wouldn’t become a rock star back in the day? I was a teen and so I wanted to become one of them.
While many had makeup or various styles, Motley Crue, Twisted Sister, Kiss… The craziness of Blackie Lawless and Chris Holmes mixed up with the live shows making time to remember. They had everything to be on top of the Heavy Metal madness. Randy Piper was with Chris, the leading shredding melodies that made this band a bomb from the first album.
Sadly after the first album, the drummer was replaced. As in most bands, line-up changes occurred, Blackie got back on the guitar and a new bass player Johnny Rod came along. The main music was here to stay. Powerful, songs kicking asses of Metal Heads who banged their head to the mighty horse.
In 2024, W.A.S.P is back on tour reviving the flame to the early fans and beyond. It is so with pleasure, that the boxset is being released for the pleasure of us all. Every singles from 7′ inch Lps, with the most famous songs in one box. Among posters of members, a book with Blackie’s interview, and much more.
