The band is back with a kind of original cover artwork as also pretty amazing, sending you into another dimension. An animal from the sea flying like to tell other species are leading our planet. Hence the album title.

When I first heard of Cauldron I was blown away by the power they have which strangely I don’t find in this album which sounds a bit more soft in the Hard Rock vibe than the Heavy Metal they used to play.

The first song “Prisoner of the Past” sends you into the origins of Heavy Metal if we can say that as it is close to the early Oyster Cult tunes. Some songs such as “Never be Found” with a heavier guitar sound reminds the first Bonfire albums.

Check those tunes very similar to the new album :

So in the overall “New god” is much more into the early days of Hard Rock style that slowly slides to Heavy Metal style. It will please all the metal heads who are stuck into the eighties and late nineties bands that keep that gentle tunes to melt your life. Everyone will find their like and influence from 220 Volt to The Scorpions

This is a good album and change a bit from the actual bands of today’s sound. While the songs titles may sound like a desperate cry the music is quite chilling your day with a ray of sun. The softness of the compositions lift you to the sky to become that strange animal on the cover.

It will please all the people who love the seventies and miss it due to the digital age and mainstream pollution from the medias. An album to own with pleasure and to play as many times as possible 98/100.
