Chriz Doe: “Solitude” Single 14th June 2024 Fastball Records. German Modern Metal band.
Ex-Mirrorplain singer, has formed a project with his name and has already released four tracks. Melodic vocals, heavy guitar riffs, and samples with the keyboard. This new single is more Metal than the previous ones, electronic sounds are usually from other music styles.
This blend of music styles is for some a good thing, this is out of the box for sure. In the mid-nineties bands tried to have a band without solos, heavy riffs straight to the point. Chriz Doe has chosen to go that way but keeping the solos and it is a good thing as people have evolved with the new generation.
The melodic vocals and the lyrics, give it something special that helps you dig the music. Sounding like a normal song when bands have two guitarists, except here the only guitarist plays both rhythm and solos. When listening you can’t guess there is only one guitarist. Well written, each song invites the listener into a journey that speaks directly to everyone.

‘Solitude’ is closer to Mirroplain than the other songs. That might help you in a way to follow Chriz. Already a foot in the scene, it is easier for the band to gain interest with the backup from the label. No need to restart everything.
In the overall, it is a good band with a modern sound. Right for the new breed, it will soon be loved and spread fast.
