DUST IN MIND : ” CTRL” Digital & LP & CD 19th November 2021 Dark Tunes. French Indus / Death / Rock / Modern Metal band.
There is no way to introduce this band that is known worldwide. It just seems that people didn’t believe they were French so they had to tell it in their songs and video…
The first time I heard this new album on youtube, it didn’t catch my attention at all. I must say I’m still listening to ‘Ashes To flames ” in my car as I really love this album. This is such a good album, the music, and the lyrics speak out loud about what the world is living at the moment. So hard to get into a new album when you can’t stop listening to what is the best album for you.
What got me to dig this new album are, like most of the time now, the videos! I must say Dust In Mind is quite at ease to release great videos that catch your eyes and melt the music so good it sticks to your mind. So the videos they released are my favorite ones of the album, and it helped me listen again and again to the complete album.
Jennifer‘s melodies are even more, melodic than before. She really pushed the thrill of emotions. I must admit without her voice I’m not sure I would love the band as I do. Damien Also got his voice more melodic. This album is softer than the previous ones. A more Rock direction even if they still got some distortion and angry vocals.

What is great, the band managed during those hard times. To create an album that is taking another direction while using the recipe of all of their catalog. So you will be pleased to hear part of each album in this one. No compilation, just a simple way to keep their own style into an evolution that leads to the new Dust In Mind.
The funniest thing is this album, has the sound of the nineties! When Rock bands decided to become Metal. It will for sure be loved by the new breed. There is a cover that you may remember if you watched The Crow movie in which you can hear a bit… very nineties!
Overall, great songs with the band’s sound in a softer direction. What most, they have released for the first time an LP! Read the interview in The Metal Mag N°46.
A good album to own 90/100.
