Evil Minded : “Into The Jaws Of Death” CD & Digital 17th May 2019 Self Produced. French Hard Rock / Heavy Metal band. Young band who started only in 2010 ,  has made a demo and after a line up change got a full blasted band to release their first EP. I must say it is the first time I hear three guitarists friends starting a band and one of them became the drummer. One of them took the singing with the guitar.

Usually guitarists tend to take the bass to fulfil the band’s line up, in Evil-Minded is a very different matter. Obviously they have made the right choice since after little modification they are strongly pushing the machine to blow. It is surprising to hear a French band sounding like an English one influenced by the NWOBHM scene.

They managed to use lots of songs title and riffs to sing and create their own songs. This is some kind of genius for a young band to think about this. While their song titles refer to most of the nineties bands, their music have some influences from the eighties! The title of the album is the first song and also their recent video, it is I must admit the best one of the whole. Power , energy, driving force that song is a single and will hit the charts strong.

While the title may refers to Death Metal bands, it has nothing related to and is in fact,  a French History trace left as an hommage by a photo done on the 6 June 1944 by Robert F.Sargent while unloading the soldiers from the ship on the Normandie beach during the war. Adding the nice cover artwork showing a medal with strong details in steel.

So we have a fresh young band that revives the old tunes in a nice way , making their own amazing style. Mixing speed passages with heavy loud ones, you are embarked into a journey through Metal history. It is always good to hear a young band spreading the old Heavy Metal tunes to get the new generation discovering those legendary bands.

Sometimes dealing with early Speed/Thrash Metal bands. Influences ranging from Metallica, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Saxon, Cloven Hoof, Diamond Head, Blitzkrieg, Status Quo, Satan Jokers, Guns ‘n Roses, Trust, Conquest of Steel, Honey For Christ, Black Sabbath… While they have been here for few years only, they have a strong composition to get you head bang for long. We can only wish them a very good life in the Heavy Metal world.

“The Old Knight” is an awesome song that will get you all love the band more and it might be the second hit single. “Missing Paradise” is the ‘ballad‘ of the album but very entertaining. Great solos, crunchy riffs and attack on to get you absorbed by the passion driving them all to create good songs. The song “Call of Duty” starts smooth to end as a dancing song to mosh you all with melodies. Another one that will get the love of the crowd. “Holy War ” is a song that will get the crowd sing along. The band has created an album to get the most out of the live shows.

This is an awesome young band that deserves a lot of support and I wish them to get as far as possible check them out ! Nine tracks to bring back the old good vibes and fill up your days of joy and passion. Horns up Evil Minded 99/100.
