Game Over: “Hellframes” CD and LP and Digital 20th October 2023 Scarlet Records. Italy Thrash Metal band.

They started with a fast heavy kick-ass Thrash Metal, making a name for themselves in the scene. England revived the style in 2000, and since then, few have given up, and each part has gone in a different direction. Thrash Metal had different parts depending on the year. I must say they were already different when they started.

Another brilliant explosive powerful cover artwork. Reminding horror movies, surely mark your brain. Always have the visual keeping the roots of the style. Musically, they have evolved into a neat, clean, heavy thrash metal. Towards the end, you even have a kind of Grunge and Goth New Wave songs. A nice intro, and straight to the point first Thrash Metal songs then it falls into a much darker softer approach.

It is not the Snake album, yet while most Thrash Metal bands keep it speed and heavy, Game Over chose a melted approach with music styles. Don’t get me wrong it is still a good album, but where most bands would say it’s their best album. I would disagree and rather dive into the first albums. Maybe they want to go in another direction, who knows? The first tracks are still very in the move and you will headbang like crazy.

Check that song:

Influences Vio-lence, Judas Priest, Heathen, Metallica, Evil, Testament, Gang Green, Anthrax, Heathen, and many more.

The eighties are back baby. Prepare yourself to headbang all night long. Game Over will mosh you down with pleasure. Groove, heavy, power, it has it all. They have the recipe!

An album to own without hesitation 98/100.
