Hidden Intent : “Fear, Prey, Demise” CD 6th July 2018 Scarlet Records. Australian Thrash Metal band. I must say this country has some really good bands and here is one pearl to own for sure!

The first track takes you right into the action and power that awesome band is creating. They blast your head and your ears will spill blood. This is Thrash as Fuck , and for sure this album will be voted as one of the best for the summer 2018! The cover artwork is showing all the human fears and thoughts and the music is well described here. Pushing the boundaries to the maximum influenced by the best. The sound and creations are so well done it just blew me away like the perfect combo you’ll ever hear. This is a band you want to see live if you have the chance to as it will keep memories into your mind for decades.

Explosive riffs , powerful voices, excellent classic parts it is all in that album. The main members : lead vocalist/bassist Chris McEwen (ex-Abyzmal, ex-Obsidian Aspect) at the helm, and the lead guitars of riff-lord and backing vocalist Phil Bennett (ex-Desert Eagle/TKBF), the trio is completed with the more recent addition of Paul Lewis (Hawkai, ex-Death Boundaries, ex-Tidal) on drums. Those musicians are serious bad ass players and composers.

Already reviewed them back in 2017 , they blew my mind and now the complete album is just pushing strongly my brain to get out and explode once more with the anger to kick the world. Have a listen :

Influences ranging from : Dark Angel, Artillery, Exodus, Vio-lence, Pitiful Reign, Machine Head, Nuclear Assault, Heathen, Pantera , Metallica, S.O.D, Assassin, Anthrax, Flotsam and Jetsam, Iron Maiden…

Amazing is the word, the first track “Prey for your Death” should be the album title as it kills right from the start to send you in the mosh pit to the Tenth song without giving you rest. The second track “Addicted to Thrash” is what defines us all fans of this powerful style that started in the early eighties and still giving us a thrill and strength. I can’t believe the singer can have so many voices from Ron Rineheart , to Rob Flynn , to David White, to Sean Killian . Acoustic guitars in the vein of Heathen, bass intro in the vein of Steve Harris, and Mike Gonzales ,  the fourth song reminding Nuclear Assault fast tempos, the sixth song reminding Metallica ‘s Orion mixed with the call of ktulu… the fith song reminding Pantera…

This is a bloody Metal band with great elements from all the bands we all cherish with that power and kick ass tunes Thrash Metal is about. Hidden Intent has won the price of the best album for the summer to blow the world’s mind, you have to own that album 100/100.
