Helion Prime : ” Silent Skies” Digital Single 29th June 2018 AFM Records. USA Heavy Metal band. It has been a while we did not hear a new song from this amazing band. It is more like a “project” due to the line up changes that occur quite a lot during those recent years and since they released the first album.

I must say I was a big fan of the first album and loved the singer, I did the review and was disappointed when they changed her. Jason Ashcraft is the main member and great musician who make sure his band is 100% perfect, in this we can be sure he will succeed.

His main goal is pursue an evolution in his music to be apart from the band that keep the same music line all of their career, and as a fan it is difficult to admit because we are not used to. This new song is giving you a taste of what the new album will sound like.

The cover artwork keeps the idea that represents well the band and its components. Musically it has a strong potential but changes its direction from the earliest materials. To me the singer doesn’t fit well the music as it sound a bit unpowered and underneath the kick ass riffs that sends power to that song. After several listening I can say this Helion Prime song is closer to The Scorpions ballads with a tent of Heavy Metal power.

So you made up your mind, great now you know you will buy that album, the classical guitar intro reminds the late W.A.S.P songs. The middle has those heavy power riffs close to the eighties Thrash Metal that boost the song pretty well. So Helion Prime has made a song that will hit the shores all summer for your ballads in your car. The album “Terror Of The Cybernetic Space Monster” will be out on the 31st August. So play that song over and over again to print you the style that will ring in your head for long , this is a perfect song 100/100.
