I’ve be discovering many bands from this little country that is Italy recently , and I can tell you they are amazing ! I have been blown away by this band who release here their third album. Explosive cover artwork, it expresses pretty well the lyrics covered. Awesome musicians and mind blowing compositions that make this a masterpiece. You can hear they have skills and worked their ass off to bring us a kick ass album.
Started few years ago from musicians who obviously were known in the Italian scene, created this band. This would explain how they managed to create such a perfect album. Few little part of Progressive parts and a strong influence from Heavy Metal and Thrash Metal, the band made an album with a strong message and many great tunes. Athrox deserves a big shout out to the world. They changed label like many, but we can say Revalve Records got a roaster of great bands!
Alessandro Brandi has been pounding the drums for many years, you can find his videos on his page. With such a professionalism there is no doubt Athrox is an amazing band and will conquer the world. This new album is kicking my butt and I can’t stop listening to it. The voice from Giancarlo “IAN” Picchianti is amazing, going from high pitch to heavy vocals reminding some great singers. The guitars are also great with many riffs and melodies to get each song a special feel for each of them.
Sandro “SYRO” Seravalle and Francesco “FRANK” Capitoni make a great guitarist team. A real work to bring the most of the tunes that spices up the songs. Andrea “LOBO” Capitani on bass who also plays in Three Tones Acoustic Trio gives a flavor to the tunes. All those elements makes this third album a masterpiece to own.

A booklet with the lyrics and a centered photo of the band, makes it a great album to own. You can learn and sing the songs together and relate to the text. In the overall there is nothing to through away. It is a perfect album and of course few parts will remind you many influences such Savage Messiah, Metallica, Spread Eagle, Weapons Of Anew, The Scorpions, Pantera… But at first you will be amazed by Athrox compositions, they made their own sound and it feels right for the ears.
A brilliant album you will play for years , it’s never to late to discover so I urge you to go and get this masterpiece into your collection 100/100.
