Redshift: ‘Down The Wire’ Digital and CD 29th May 2026 Pale Wizard Records.  UK progressive Rock / Metal /band.

Third album from this crazy trio. They have been tricking people’s minds since 2017. Out of the box and right in today’s youth. They are hard to pigeon all as they blend different music style while keeping it technical.

The originality, if we can say so, is to be listenable by mostlty everyone.  (Although I’m not sure the Death Metal parts capture many..) . So they are progressive from their influences and so the technical parts, but the music goes from Pop/Rock to Thrash Metal to Death Metal growling voice.

Mainly it’s like going on the crazy train in those funny places where you pay to have fun.

Make up your mind:

Influences: Dream Theater, Rush, Opeth, R.E.M, Peter Gabriel, Placebo, Mekong Delta, and may more.

Each track is like switching the radio wave channels, everything blends like butter. The line up change may have brought someting different from the previous albums, only fans will tell but it is surely a force to be reckoned with technicality.

The cover art describes pretty well the idea, in this digital age it makes sense. The first tracks made me think of the eighties Thrash Metal band Mekong Delta, then it takes a turn to pop/rock style keeping that harsh progressive touch. To extreme Metal growls and riff explosion.

A very good piece for any music lovers who loves changes 97/100.
