Toxik : “III works” Boxset three CDs 27th April 2018 No Dust Records. USA Thrash Metal band. Everybody knows that Josh Christian has been doing everything possible to keep his band going. As a fan from the first album , I can only respect that man who is a great musician and also loves playing guitar. Very down to earth and close to the fans he managed to bring us a collectible item every Thrashers should own.

What we can say about Josh is he always creates solos and even share them for underground bands who just love his art. It’s amazing to know how many bands have a guest on their album who appears to be the mighty Josh Christian and as such it is a real pleasure for musicians to have that gold piece into their own work.

You can also get lessons from him! he’s 300% into guitar and that is pretty rare, unless people who are constantly working their instrument , he just practice like mad and can’t stop creating.Don’t forget to read his interview in the recent issue of The Metal Mag.

So let’s get back to this awesome boxset. I was so happy to receive this package and what was the surprise to see what ‘s inside. It’s called III because it holds three CDS with a poster dedicated to the fans. The poster is a live show one where the band is just on the side of the photo while you see the complete crowd on the big side of the picture. That explains how much he respects the fans. Most bands forget that part…

The first CD “In Humanity” is the one that was “on the shelves” of Utube and could be only streamed by the fans for years. This is the first time it come out and been asked for years such it is a great album. The musicians on this have the great drummer Jason Bittner (appearing in The Metal Mag with Teri Stahl) , Mike Sanders on Vocals, Bill Bodly on Bass and Josh for all guitars. Six songs with an instrumental one with the lyrics in the booklet. 

The second CD “Breaking Glass” which was called the ‘come back‘ for the band with the new release after the second album decades ago. It was sold through bandcamp and this is the one I never received ! Lucky ones who had that signed one… Due to biz issue not everyone got served and it kinda gave the band a bad point after so many years without an album but always on tour playing live shows. So now it’s over that boxset is here to get credits to the band who has fought to get their musical effort to press and to the fans. Different line up : Shane Boulos on Bass, Charlie Sabin on vocals, James DeMaria on Drums.Six songs with an instrumental one with the lyrics in the booklet. 

The third CD “Kinectic Closure” Is the ‘New’ album setting up the Toxik futur into a stable hopefully line up to release more albums and live shows around the world. The beginning is a blast in your ears ! The new singer Ron Iglesias is so good that it kicks the band with new blood and lift it up higher. The new song “Kinetic Closure” , who few have heard live is such a great song with an edge of Sanctuary ‘s Warrel Dane on the vocals , makes me feel Toxik is really back with those heavy guitars and melodies. This is Thrash Metal! The rest of the line up is the same of the previous EP ;Shane Boulos on Bass, James DeMaria on Drums and josh is still here ahah. Most of the songs are basically from the first two acclaimed albums and set the new sound with reworked songs and introducing this awesome singer who also cowrote lyrics for the song “Shotgun Logic”. 10 songs making it a complete album for 2018. The lyrics in the booklet. 

Each album have their own color with covers made by the same artist Mario Lopez , recorded and mixed in Syracuse. The sound is just amazingly powerful and all cds sound excellent. This is a complete power for the ears and the heart such is a brilliant work. So what are you waiting for get that piece of collection now 100/100.
