Van666: “The Tyranny of Faith” Digital Single 3rd July 2026 Self Released. South Africa Death Metal guitarist.

Back in late nineties in the UK, I met Van. He came with his brother to pursue a music career in the land of heavy metal music. The extreme metal scene was since 1991, pretty much anchored. While they, like most were into Thrash Metal, the fact Van was the only guitarist and also decided to sing.

The fact their music was pretty raw, it got soon into that heavy dark Death Metal vibe. Their name ‘Architecture of Agression‘ was already quite obvious about what it was about. You can read his interview in The Metal Mag.

Having always that fight between good and evil, talking about real human ‘s life. The underground was tough and the band had to leave and go back to their country. The departure of the bass player got the brothers searching for replacements. After a while the drummer brother left. Van had to keep up alone. He played as guest / session guitarist in other formations until he joined the band Blood Beast.

Influences: Immolation, Morbid Angel, Opprobrium, Morgoth, Cannnibal Corpse, and many more.

He kept playing and learning, and his playing if far better than when he started back in the nineties for sure. He has now decided to move on as a one self man band.

This is the first song of his album coming with full members.

The extreme blasphemous cover artwork, tons of details straight to the point. The religion incomprehension , god or evil is the same?! the robot, violence, human death.. you will get the message!

Visually explosive, the music is well written and the mix is very good. Today it is way easier to make a good song than it used to be. Wish him lots of success with this new adventure.

For the die hard fan, get it now 99/100.
