Vanish : “Altered Insanity” Digipack CD 27th March 2020 Fastball Music. German Heavy / Thrash / Hardcore / Metal band.
In 2017 the band released a pure Heavy Epic Metal album, with high melodies and melty feelings to get every girls to fall in love. Their logo isn’t the same as on this mini album. The music is also a bit different and doesn’t really match what they have released previously. The reason for the genre title that reflects much more this five track EP.
Keyboards elements with Heavy guitar riffs. A real Metal band for sure with many styles mixed together giving them a strength in today’s music world. This mini ep is made as their twentieth anniversary to celebrate their music history. In such they asked known singers to remake their songs with different styles. A bit of an experiment to see what others can do with their own creations. Among a great cover to blast it for the fans who will appreciate more easily those transformed songs.
Honestly it is a great gesture to wish for a change with a different vision from other great musicians. So each track on this EP is different with a much exploding Metal vibe. The first song has Alicja Mroczka on the vocals and a power metal feel. Two voices melting to get a very high melody that gets into your blood with love.
The second track has an electro intro for those who like electronic sounds, a slight touch of piano and brilliant mix with Tim Ripper Owens ‘s blasting power exploding your senses. A kind of ballad song with those strange sound on top. The voice and the piano gives a great feel. You will get a kick in the butt, powerful and beautiful, a song that will hit the charts. All elements to get a very good hit single, awesome guitar solo to shred your heart.

The third song has a guitar riff reminding the Swedish bands with Thrashy feel. Guest on this one is Ben Galster , who screams his lugs giving this a Metal Core feel for the ones who are found off. It really kills the melody. Bastian Rose is a really good singer and has awesome vocal range, topping the song in the higher spheres. Sometimes beautiful songs should not be changed to get the Metal parts that modify the beauty.
The fourth track is the Dio tribute “Heaven and Hell” song. A melancholic version with piano like a classical song, soft vocal like giving credit to RJD as he passed away. A very good cover that should be spread around the world to thank the man who gave us lots of Heavy Metal songs.
The last song is done with the amazing Ralf Scheepers, in a way the EP ends up with soft melodic songs. Moving from a piano intro like the previous one, to finally move to a more Heavy Metal power ballad. This new song goes into the Power Metal side and reach the stars.
Basically with songs having some changes , those mix of several singers always gives a fresh modern touch to it. A good collectible for the fans and a very good way to open people’s mind 98/100.
