I discovered the band like many, by watching Utube videos. One of the best sources to find new bands online, with Bandcamp. What I heard, astonished me. I put the site aside and thought I would interview this great band. When I had the interview ready. I saw a short video as they call it now; of the band saying they just signed a record deal.
I so updated my interview and sent it over. I’m proud to say they will feature in the next The Metal Mag pages at the end of the year. Ylisia is composed of brilliant musicians. Main composer George van Olffen (ex-Secret Sounds, Moonflower, Kingfisher Sky) used his experience and creativity to create this amazing band. Guitar player Martijn de Zeeuw, was the first to join as a long-time friend. Amazing singer Liesbeth Cordia (ex-Annatar, Eve’s Fall) is killing it. A voice so close to Sharon den Adel shreds you deep in your feelings. Sometimes sounding the same is like listening to the early days of Within Temptation.
You can only fall in love with Ylisia! Eva Levina, the drummer, and Tim Hoogervorst (ex-theName), the bassist, completed the lineup that produced a brilliant album. They have toured extensively and won tons of awards for their beautiful music. A year later, they got signed. The album will be repressed and available online for the world.
