Antipathic : “Humanimals” CD 31rst January 2019 Despise The Sun Records. USA / Italy Brutal Death / Grind Metal band. I have tried to avoid those kind of bands for decades yet they still exist and this is something I have to support somehow since there is a scene for this extreme Metal scene. So it is with difficulty I will review this kind of music.

While the cover artwork is really interesting and with an awesome work, the music lack of interest to me. Born from  Chris (from Human Repugnance) and Tat0 (from Glacial Fear and Zora) they decided to join forces to create another brutal band. They have found the right name for that kind of music style as only the die hard fans can appreciate this kind of music.

This is the deepest underground Metal style you can find and I think the musicians always loose their potential by releasing those kind of albums. To the usual people it just sounds like a big noise with no lyrics at all and just a waste of music. So much compression and effect that it kills what could be a Brutal Death Metal band with interest.

When I look at the cover artwork and then listen to the music I am kind of lost into the interest of that band. The intro with Robots voices sets you into a science fiction movie as you see on the cover a robot slavering the human beings. This is surely what can happen in the futur of our lives.

Twelve tracks sounding all the same , when I remember people criticizing Obituary when they released their first album stating they have no lyrics, well this is pretty much what you feel while listening to this album. The voice is just few growls that can’t be heard as words. This is not my kind of vocals as I love to hear what the singer have to say and dig into the soul of the songs.

Have a listen :

So if you like this kind of tunes then get your hands on it, to me it’s just good mastering with a great cover 50/100.
