Antigod : “W.R.A.T.H.” CD 31th May 2018 MetalGate Records. Czech Thrash Metal band. Like eastern countries they are playing the old fashion Thrash with harsh fast sound. It has the soul of German bands such as Holy Moses mixed Kreator and else. I am just a bit confused as the cover artwork shows the album title like it is the band’s name.

Without the infos about the album people might think they called themselves W.R.A.T.H. that sort of making a mess with the US band. By visiting their website you can see that in fact the logo is that ‘cross’ in front of the train wagon. So this is a bad point for them as they are not really selling their brand and confusing people ‘s mind if they don’t know the band. I must say it is a bit surprising.

The cover is cool with that snow showing a fighting train going to a war with a little devil behind the wheels. They are giving the idea of a cold yet hard powerful band. Musically it is a blast in the vein of Hypnosia, Warpath,Venom .. getting a bit of Death / Grind touch with playing fast and screaming.

It’s like getting back to the early eighties with the Punk influence falling into the Thrash scene. It’s pretty cool and will ravish all the fans of those years. Thirteen tracks to kick your ears and mosh like mad.

So nothing special about this band and that name confusion that sadly doesn’t give them credit. A fun album to own if you like the fast riffs moshing bands.  They will surely find the bands to play live dates to kick places with their tunes , get the album for the sake of supporting those fast raging moshers 80/100.
