Bludy Gyres : “Echoes of a Distant Scream” CD & LP February 2017 SoMan Records . USA Doom Metal band. Available at CD Baby, two version LP one blue one black. A deep and Heavy Doom  music sometimes reminding Black Sabbath sometimes Dogbane, sometimes Candelmass…you will find your pleasure with five long tracks to drive you away from this planete. If this band isn’t familiar to you the line up might be as it has been created by two ex members from Thrash Metal band Hallows Eve, Chris Abbamonte guitarist and Tommy Stewart on vocals and bass. For sure it has nothing to do with thrash here we are far away from their previous work in the 80’s but that might help people moving their ass to the live shows and enjoy that great music.

Songs like ‘discipline man’ or ‘to live is to bleed’ are songs to kick you in the butt with groovy and cool riffs. Some might take the time to dig the lyrics and will get addicted to the band’s view. The logo pretty Heavy and the cover painting absorbing your senses will get you curious and finally you will like this album!

Listening the album I got the impression it would be heavier live and the atmosphere is probably taking the whole place. Started in 2014 as a test they finally released the first album and will go further due to the amazing popularity of their songs and the good feedback at their live shows. Have a listen and get connected 90/100.
