Deadly Carnage : “Through The Void Above The Suns” Digipack CD 30th March 2018 ATMF Prod. Italian Atmospheric / Alternative / Doom / Rock / Metal / Pop band. Started back in 2005 in the Thrash / Black Metal movement, the band evolved into something different over the years. In constant search of their inner-self and stuck in the sky, they can’t be categorised into one music style. This is pretty hard to describe their music.

I must say they have a lot of creation , their album as the content is just a whole of art upper the only music they are creating. The concept is about the universe and its existence. Lots of work made on the graphics and images with a music very destabilizing such it regroups many influences. Their main video helps you to understand their vision and you have to get really into their world to dig the whole concept as the music.

The video goes from blasting fast Black Metal riffs from the raw bands to a Doom style through Pop emotions melodies. Quite a journey for just a song so imagine the complete album. Have a listen :

Nine tracks expressing life events from the mystery of the universe. the first one sounding like a church choir with synthesizer and effects .. Some screams with the blast riffs bleeding from the early Black Metal root but erased by this atmospheric atmosphere with keyboards and reverbs. If sometimes you hear little drops of bands such as Machine Head, Entombed, Evanescence and even Pink Floyd, their style is engraved in this album. Yet as it is a concept and the band is on the move for each album I’m not sure this style will keep its way.

I am speechless to the world of Deadly Carnage who brings some original piece of art , like a painting each will gets his own mind. A beautiful package to own if you love their music , a sixteen pages booklet in a Digipack CD with lots of artwork to spread your mind in pieces. Plunge into the imagination of floating in the air while being surrounded by sounds and emotions.

I think this band has opened a breach into the dimension of music style to shake your mind and explode the normality of what we know. An interesting band who will gain fans from diverse styles 96/100.
