Dirty Velvet: “Far Beyond The Moon” CD 14th April 2023 Fastball Music. Switzerland Punk / Rock band.

It is enjoyable to listen to a band that hasn’t got those mixes we here today, most bands have such a powerful mix that you must see them live to hear their real performance. Dirty Velvet sounds like a band recorded live with a mix to sound like it has to be on an album.

A bit of reverb on Katy’s voice to give a little atmospheric beauty to the songs, clean sounds very well worked, and the distortions are right on like it is from the amp. We are back to the basic of seventies soft Punk Rock music blending into the passage of music evolution.

It feels good to be back in those years when music was exploring feelings more than tons of distortions and sounds. it’s a big challenge for a label those days to sign a band and keep the essence of their creations without pushing too much.

Sometimes unless you saw a band live, you can’t be sure they are playing and sounding like the album you love. Dirty Velvet will sound like what you hear on the album with of course much energy live.

Check it out:

Influences The Runaways, Joan Jet, Sonic Youth, and many more.

The cover artwork brings you into another dimension, the band’s universe! Starting a few years ago, the band grew their compositions to finally get an album and a record deal. Sometimes it comes very smoothly and a band is born and runs onto the live stages to spread their music.

If you like it raw and pure, this is the band to follow. Back to the basics to enjoy music the way it used to be.

You will dig it and love it without a doubt, 100/100.
