Gia Federico : “The Ladder” Single 21 st November 2019 Self Released.  USA Shredder girl.

Many people know her as a solo guitarist, but she had her band called Devil In the Mist before getting on her own. I even heard the band is back on track..You should definitively listen to that great band. As an artist , Gia keeps creating amazing piece of music. With the help of her members who follow her on every musical projects. She can play and give life to those melodic parts that make her universe.

Unlike other guitarist, her style is not easy to recognize. While others always help you to catch up the influences , with Gia it is much harder. A taint of Rock with a Jazzy feel, the notes are flying with such easiness it’s amazing. The new song is starting a bit like the Bumble Bee type of speed notes to then move on some other speaking scales. She shows us she is a great shredder and have those classical parts too. The song then becomes evolving towards another feel with the drums and emotions, like the guitar wants to speak.

A little Eddie Van Halen touch at some point , so without a singer you have different parts of the song giving you what a band’s song is about but only on the guitar. Its ending with a nice soft feeling like flying in the sky. Instrumental musicians are often set apart but often are quite similar in the approach. Gia is out of the ordinary players. “A change would you good” as said Sheryl Crow and yeah it feels great to hear a guitarist not to be in the same range as most. She has her own style, the way to write and compose. The videos are somehow a way to express a visual story and like a painting helps you to reach out the message behind the creation.

With such skills we are expecting a full album, but Gia takes it slowly and prefer giving us a single piece by piece. “The Ladder” is an emotional piece sending us into her mind. Like a dream with fast passages and overs softer. A story that only the artist knows but we can imagine while listening to the music. Have a listen an make up your mind :

Have your imagination grown up? Did you get that message? Neither less to say I am sure you all love this song. A beautiful piece 100/100.
