A new EP from this now-known musician for all he has accomplished, with his brother and their band Absolva, and musicians for Blaze Bayley. He plays guitar in one band and bass in the other. He does what he loves and we can only be happy for him and sorry for ourselves who didn’t manage to get that dream come true.Â
While it is normal for a musician to have his own songs and style, we are used to hearing something different from what he actually plays and composes in his other projects. If I like the acoustic Ep, this one is a bit disappointing to me. The four-track album sounds like another piece of Absolva! Â That’s not his fault he has the same voice as his brother, but the sound and compositions don’t sound like his own creation but like what he has done with his brother for years.

You expect something different but no it’s just like the other albums. A bit of autotune to make it sound a little better for some ears but for me that doesn’t make it. Unless you like those RAP/ Pop songs with that chamallow/robot voice straight to please the Hollywood kids. A nice cover with colors and an invite for a trip to dreamlands. Sadly the music isn’t that attractive.
It’s been a long time since I listened to an album I don’t like but those new modern technical sounds to make it good, make me regret the old days of real music with great singers. I guess I will never get into that new wave of today’s sound.
