Outliar : “Taste The Blood” CD 8th July 2018 Malevolence Records. USA Modern Thrash Metal band with a blend of Death Metal parts. A band that has started back in 2012 and had to change few members to bring this awesome killer album.  Started as a Thrash Metal band they have evolved with the new sound and Death Metal style that is most used today and loved by the Metal heads. Yet their Thrash Metal influence is bleeding on each track which bring them to a high top shelves on the powerful bands of the moment and will be loved by Thrasher as Death Metalers.

With an awesome artwork on the cover setting you to the bloody kind of Metal bands closer to Death Metal style it also reminds Exodus and else. The voice is really pushing the band into those modern bands with screams and heavy power vocals. Sometimes reminding In Flames, sometimes closer to Testament Chuck Billy in late albums. A strong influence of first Machine Head album on few songs, having the aggressively of Konkra..

The band is full of creativity with riffs from early Thrash Metal bands such as Forbidden, Heathen , Flotsam and Jetsam…while the voice is a bit too much at some point to me. It surely makes a blast in the extreme world and be loved by the older Metal heads.

Check their video to make up your mind :

An amazing production with guest musicians such as Steve Smyth (Forbidden, Nevermore, Testament) for beautiful solos, Petri Kuusisto (Carnal Forge) as well as darkly beautiful violin work from Lyris Hung (Hung) on the instrumental “As We Watch The Bodies Burn” that gives a peace and has magical parts. So a powerful album that is brilliant for the listener.

So in the overall it is a master bomb that hit the shore of Thrash modern scene with tons of oldies inside, like a good box of chocolate. Be moshed by the awesome Outliar new album! It is a killer masterpiece 100/100.
