Thrust : “TheHelm Of Awe” LP & CD 30th October 2020 Pure Steel Records. USA Heavy Metal band.

After two years of live shows to support their first release on Pure Steel Records. The eighties power band is back. The labels knows the great tunes and so here is once again a band that deserves to be spread. Using the digital age with the modern cover artwork, the album will still be pressed on vinyl. Musicaly it is right into the early eighties and that is the reason why the fans are following them.

Thrust has the secret for creating amazing songs that send you straight back in time. A modern sound with the old songs we all love and will stick forever. So jump in the dolorean and fly away to the stars. Heavy vocals from Eric Claro, great rhythms and solos from both Ronnie Cook and Angel Rodriguez. The pounding team Ray Gervais and Joe Rezendes giving that heavy sound to the whole.

Well conceived songs, the melodies and power it spreads entertain you for long. The album is Heavy and keeps you absorbed , you want to play again and again. You are sent into another world, Thrust time where nothing is aging. Released again on the mighty label that supports eighties bands , putting out vinyls for the pleasure of the die hard fans. The band delivers again a powerful album.

here is one song from their page :

Ten songs of power , melodies and emotions. If some parts may refer to other bands such as Flotsam and Jetsam or even Iron Maiden they aren’t in the same vein. Thrust has it’s own sound and style. It is true Heavy Metal and we can only love it to death.

“Blood In The Sky” ,  “Still Alive” , “Ghost in Me” .. Each song has a magic feel that empowers the album to be loved. The last song has a special vibe as Eric kind of modify his voice in the way of extreme bands do…Maybe a hint for another album or simply to give the title a special feel for the lyrics.

A brilliant album with no surprise, a must have for every Metal fans 100/100.
