Ajana:” 13 Red Lakes” Digital 13th February 2023 Self Released. German Progressive Rock / Pop / Metal solo artist.

A few months ago, a female artist sent me her album with info. I must say I listened to it carefully several times and like many things I shamely pass on to the other and so I almost forgot to review this album for the year 2023. It’s not common to have a solo artist doing everything for many years and I have never heard of it before. Dedicated and passionate, she has been playing every instrument, recording, and producing her music for over twenty years!

Impossible to set in a box, music-wise it has so many aspects and influences. The first band you can think of is Pink Floyd, but it’s a tiny piece compared to the whole album. The main idea is to praise love for nature. You are juggling between questions and passion.  Each track is on its own a special piece. Soft and sometimes pounding, your mind keeps searching for the normality we all get used to.

There is no explanation for artistic creation, music is the best way to spread your thoughts and feelings we can all relate to. Combining instruments and voices, A dream without images, like reading a book, you just build what your mind is hearing. In one photo, Ajana standing still on a garden grass full of autumn tree leaves. The image is powerful yet natural and sets the atmosphere of the album.

A very simple cover artwork with just special writing, you must enter into the realm of consciousness. The unknown triggers curiosity and interest to the maximum. An album that may leave you speechless or in the wish to express yourself to others about what it had given to you.

Have listen:

Originality is something you can’t describe, to me in the music world, music is capable of touching your soul without having the possibility to feel like you heard it before.

Ajana is a mysterious artist that needs to be discovered and supported. Like a painter, she probably had a hard time getting her art opened to the world. Now it is done after so many years, and it is a great accomplishment.

Get her album and dive into the unknown 100/100.
