Ancestors : “Suspended in Reflections” 8th August 2018 Pelagic Records. USA Psychedelic / Pop band. New album from this band after six years. This is by far the most amazing thing I read about a band. The cover is not the album you’d buy for the amazing painting on it, yet with no name nor even the album title it is weird choice until you have heard their music.

Imagination is what Ancestors have and want you to develop with their music that is obviously very influenced by Pink Floyd. The album title may refer to the time spent trying to create those compositions. Most songs are instrumental and send you into another space for the ones who dig the album and let go for a moment on this life.

The first song has a bit of lyrics, some songs have Hammond keyboards putting a slight touch of church type vibe into the compositions and remind all the late sixties when bands used to play that instrument. So you may think this band is inspired a lot by those great years. The Doors, The Who… and even have guitars sending you to the new age like bands such as Muse. Getting that Rock parts giving a little bit of life and sunshine as it can be depressing for the ones who are fragile such their creations are intense.

Six songs with emotions to kick you right in the heart and make you feel good. It’s always good to hear bands like Ancestors who kind of revive the good old years when music was creative and interesting.

Plunge into the world of Ancestors :

Songs have titled like instrumental do and have a sens to the feel it brings. “The Warm Glow” , “Lying in the Grass”… The first song and its video give you an insight of what the members of the band are explaining through their music.

It’s pure beauty for the ears and the soul. Get addicted and follow this band 100/100.
