Parad1gm :”Self Titled” CD 8th March 2019 Ellie Promotion / Seasons of Mist. French Rock / NewWave / Gothic / Indus band. Young band formed in 2015 , born from a previous outfit Spirited who decided to add electronic sound to their compositions. Ex- Monolithe / Conscience joined forced to bring keyboards sounds and atmosphere. Found of science fiction movies and books they create their music around that aspect of feeling in a strange world that only exist in their own minds.

The cover pictures pretty well this universe in which they have found their own place. The band ‘s name is already special completing the whole atmosphere they want to express and let you feel. This album has been made with ADX bassist who joined them to help them pursue their wish to get an album out. There is one song with a great bass intro, while most songs have sound samples and keyboards.

It is never easy to review such an album when the music doesn’t speak to you directly. The music is somehow back from the eighties sound and at the same time in the mood of todays technology digital one.  Parad1gm is on a journey that visits several music styles going from simple pop rock kinda Pink Floyd but a very tiny bit, to dark deep Gothic style such as Type O Negative , the new tunes in the vein of Muse yet a portion of it. Sometimes in the vein of  Rammstein style

For the ones who love those kind of tunes it will be easier to find the right influences for sure. As for me who is not a keyboard digital sound fan it is much harder. Some songs sound really like old video games which is not my stuff either.

I let you listen and make up your mind yourself :

So if you like those sounds and atmosphere I invite you to follow the band and get their brand new album 95/100.
