Arwen : ” The Soul´s Sentence” CD & Digital Self Released. Spanish AOR / Rock / Progressive / Heavy Metal band. Started in 1996 the band had few albums released and toured the country . The band disbanded and reformed in 2014 after having issues with labels and else. They released this new album that took three years to get done and finally it is out this year.
A cover album with an amazing artwork and powerful songs mixing rock and heavy progressive tunes. Many guests on few tracks, eleven songs with different musical approach which will gain many fans from the world. The last song written by Chris Cornell, bringing a bit of grunge but with their rocking sound giving the whole album a strong Rock and Roll one.
Few songs could easily been aired on radio waves as it even has some pop vibes kind of Michael Jackson at some point. Most of the songs are concentrated in the vocal range that change the feel, with sometimes double bass drums to kick it up and great solos. Some samples and violin giving special atmosphere remembering some famous bands.
Influences joining the ranks of Dream Theatre, Midnight Oil, Kamelot, Van Den Plas, Angra….and you will hear many other legends from decades of music in their own creations. Have a little taste with a mix:
Very hard to ping hole their style such it is a concentration of good music with great players. A band that should tour the world easily. For the fans of the band it is a big surprise after such a long absence, but this is worth the wait. A great work in the compositions and an amazing art on itself.
