Heathen : “Empire of the Blind” CD & Tape & LP 18th September 2020 Nuclear Bast Records. USA Thrash Metal band.

When it comes to Thrash Metal , people always talk about the big four and the early eighties. Sadly Heathen is never mentioned nor interviewed. Underrated band, they were there back in the days,  and always shared a friendship with Exodus. The result being members playing with them years ago. While their first album came out in late eighties , the members have been in the scene from the start and though should be mentioned and interviewed. But nothing is yet bleeding, apart from sources on the net or even fans like me who follows the band from the beginning.

It is with a very high pleasure I get hold on this brand new powerful album. The band hasn’t been playing for a while and so this new album is quite waited from most of us the fans. It is with no surprise the pre-orders got sold out quickly! One most amazing is Kragen Lum who is maintening the shop , got lots of signed items sold directy to the fans. He is an amazing guitarist, releasing book tablatures as teaching lots of people. You can read his interview in The Metal Mag

Sure Heathen is not like others, a band with its vision, it’s music. Life got them tons of issues, from the members playing in different bands putting a hiatus on creation to pull out another album. Yet they are creating amazing and blowing minding tunes , making each album a masterpiece. Having seen the band live at the Hellfest in France back in 2013 and having hard times to get an interview I could get five years later. I am pretty happy to be friend and fan with those great musicians.

Amazing cover album, blasting songs. Full on collectible items. This time Heathen got you the best package a fan can dream of! A blast to get us all happy during this weird times of the year.  Check out this song :

Pounding riffs, melodies , amazing solos. Get in the train and travel into the heaviness. Jim Demaria (toxik) on the drums, Jason Mirza on bass,  are the two new addition for this brilliant album . Lee Altus (the man behind heathen) and still David White on the vocals who brings this melody and energy since the beginning. A powerful team of great musicians to bring us another masterpiece to own proudly in your collection. In the vein of the previous album,  addicted from the first note.

Blasting riffs to die to, great song writing, you will play it for long. A must have 100/100.
