Lucio Manca: “Camaleontico” Digital and CD 25th January 2025 Self Released. Italy Progressive Rock band.
Italy is a tiny country full of amazing musicians, but it’s not every day you come across a bass man fanatic. Most bands are generally spread due to a shredder guitarist. Most great bass players concentrate on playing in many bands to gain experience and velocity.
Lucia Manca is not one of those bass players. He’s prodigious, such as Billy Sheean! He’s a full band, but he’s the main character such as Satriani for example, but as a bassist. I must say by listening to the tracks, you can’t imagine he is the most important part.
All the band members are outstanding musicians. The trio is a perfect combination, of instrumental sonority you can only enjoy no matter if you are yourself playing an instrument or not. As a musician, you just dig this fully and feel it inside your blood.
Heavy and right in your face pounding slapping strings, melodic scales, rocking drumming style. Keyboard parts by Lucio himself, dealing with all the arrangements giving this album a perfect tune to die for. I want more!

Mind-blowing cover artwork, this album is on its own a pearl and would need an LP version to appreciate the beauty of it.
Versatile human being, he has played with Joe Stump, Francesco Marras, and Brian Mailard. A very colorful music sending you in deep clouds surrounded by beauty. Instruments speak for themselves, no need a voice, it flows in your brain like the perfect melody. You’ll become addicted and like me play it several times.
Six tracks with an intro and one with a speaking character (like a movie scene), Lucio Manca has lots of skills and ideas. Fourth album that reaches the heights of majesty, a pure masterpiece.
You must buy this album 100/100.
