Mathias Holm Klarin : “Pictures of a Dream” CD & Digital 23rd May 2019 Lion Music. Swedish guitar virtuoso artist. For those who like this man and his music, the mighty label re- release his first album from 1996. The compositions had started in 1988 and we can hear the influences right from the album like it is made from two mini EP.

It speaks to me as it will to all the guitar fanatics outhere. Full of emotions and melodies, sixteen tracks to melt your shredding heart into the best joy you can imagine. It might give you the wish to play again if you have left the instruments…

So basically the first part (if you follow my view and ears) , it started back in 1988 so imagine the influence from Joe Satriani’s first albums. It also make me think of another French guitarist inspired by the same artist called Patrick Ronda. You can feel the guys who worked their scales from the master!

A full pleasure and shows how good Mathias Holm Klarin was when he started and what makes he is still a great musician. Swedish musicians are always good, it’s a matter of fact and I reviewed he’s recent albums and can hear he masters the craft.

The second part is more into Yngwie Malmsteen and Marty Friedman style. Of course the scales are the ones you find on the best albums of those musicians their first ones!!! Ad to this some Classical Music , a Pink Floyd influence and some Progressive Rock all from the legendary bands of the seventies and eighties.

Have a taste of the first song:

So you love it?! go grab it! It’s a masterpiece that has no time and will stay in the memory for long. As we say Mathias Holm Klarin is an underrated excellent musician. He deserves a lot of recognition go support him 98/100?
