MirrorPlain : “Lost In Paradise” CD 19th July 2019 Fastball Music. German Rock / Grunge / Modern Metal band. While the label has some really cool bands that blow away the music world, I must admit this is one of a kind. Really hard to put in a box even after listening to several times as I always do.

This is the second album from this band. A very Metal logo design with a Heavy Rock sound mixed up with teen music style riffs. The album starts with that melting sugar riff that reminds the late nineties bands, kids used to love in a second.

The cover has a great vibe and you expect some kind of guts to your face. Yet for me it doesn’t do any special feel apart from one song “Listen up” that is well written with melodies to hit the charts. Few symphonic passages with the keyboard sounds, the song title “Lost in Paradise” has a cool intro and may get lots of fans due to the nice cool rock tunes reminding sometimes Metallica “Load“…They surely have lots of nineties influences.

This is soft with sometimes a heavy push in the mix that set them on the edge of Metal but this is pure Rock. The Grunge is really much felt into the vocals to remind lots bands of this era. In the overall it is a good album and will gain lots of young fans who are today opened to the mix of those styles.

So influences can be found from diverse style : Avenged Sevenfold, Alice In Chains, Offsprings, Metallica, Garage Days, Love &Hate, Soundgarden, Strangelet, GreenDay

The most important here are the lyrics which are pretty deep and gives this music a dark side that can explain this “soft” feeling when listening to the album. “Speak to the Deaf” the second track is pretty cool as the lyrics takes you down inside. That probably what makes MirrorPlain a band to follow and like , is the message they are sending through their compositions.

So each songs have a particular touch with music changes and on the edge of so many genres , it will catch your senses in many ways and is the kind of band that pretty much can be everywhere and loved by many. A great album to dig closer with the headphones on and laying down on the grass to dive into MirrorPlain tunes.

A great discovery to contaminate the world like a venin 96/100.
