Nothing Sacred: “Leviathan” CD and Digital 2nd February 2023 Rockshots Records. Australian Heavy / Thrash Metal band.

1983 was a year of the Metal birth for many, but most remind the LA scene in the States. Most bands come from there and so numerous documentaries have been released so far. But we often forget other bands in other countries also had their start in the same year. This is the case for Nothing Sacred, back then the LP was huge and helped lots of bands to get heard and spread.

For some reason, the band like many who couldn’t get any further for many reasons disappeared. Line-up issues, money, the success of the first album, and so on. Yet the first album that can make such an impact, sticks into people’s memory. And when it is possible a band can revive decades later. By having still the aim and passion lifted from the older fans, they compose an album like it was yesterday and people will follow without questions.

In 2021 they released an album with a DVD and so many songs to fulfill the emptiness of the fans. Sadly the band has a hard time keeping up with the stable lineup, they recruited old singer Chris Stark who fits pretty well the music. It feels like nothing has changed, at least they still sound as good as in the early days.

Check out this great song:

Influence: Anthrax, Deathriders, Iced Earth, Deary Behaded, and many more.

Six Heavy Metal tracks with some Thrash ones reminding the good old days. Oriented towards the war, mostly in one song, due to the event we are living in right now. Blasting riffs and melodies, heavy vocals, the songs just hit and run until you play again the album without stopping.

Short but powerful, it will mark people’s memory for a long. A band that doesn’t need to write tons of albums to be part of the best seller.

A must-have 100/100.
