Scott Gailor : ‘Technicolor/Monochrome” CD & Digital 2015 Malleable Records . US guitarist . The album has been recorded at IceMan Studios. I have this album for a while since my last interview with Scott on The Metal Mag and listened quite a lot. For those who never heard this brilliant instrumental piece I really advices you to check it as fast as you can. Being a guitarist lover and knowing many since the early eighties when only few were shredding, I am really impressed to hear those ten tracks.

Scott is not the actual guitarist as we know them. He certainly have an impact and relation to the artists in Heavy Metal and todays shredders. But at the same time he is more one to discover and try what’s around technically. He first modified his beloved guitar to fit his need rather than buy an expensive one he might not get used to. The guitar is to me an extension of your body, to the few guitars I own I too love to play with one. Musicians will understand what I mean. They are certains things like the neck; the pick ups, the amp etc..

Many elements that make you love your wooden wife to have it her all the time. He is giving lessons and try many equipments and that somehow emphasis his knowledge to get the best of his music. The compositions have many groove parts with blues or jazz. This is an album for all guitar lovers.

Of course you can’t take him apart from the famous guitarist around yet he has his own style , I would say he has every bits of each musicians : Georges Lynch, Marty Friedman, Jimmy Page, Mick Mars, Jason Becker…

So you will simply love that masterpiece and each of you will get this or that you are familiar with. You got to love that man for his skills and his total commitment to everything that surrounds the instrument we all love 100/100.
