Seekers Are Lovers: “Nepenthes” Digipack CD 27th October 2023 Echozone records. Germany Gothic / Dark Wave / New Wave / Electro band.

The label is always searching for bands in this kind of music style. It is funny to me as it reminds me of the eighties New Wave time. With today’s technology, it is easier than in the past to create such digital music. A dark atmosphere, three-piece band using effects. Since every eighties bands are back it makes sense we have that Gothic, New Wave style back too.

Brilliant colors on the cover, with a slight touch of imagination to guess what could it represent. Nice logo with a non-common band’s name. For sure Seekers are Lovers who have everything to attack interest to discover and dig into their universe. Dark sad feelings that only lovers can understand and support. I always set this music style into the depressed suicidal minded people. Beats that are today’s trademark in many music styles people seem to like and you can find them in discos and such where loud electronic sounds blast to keep you awake.

I can have images from these bands in my mind, but can’t recall their names such,  first never had my interest and secondly, they disappeared very quickly. I wish for Seekers are Lovers to find fans.

Check it out ;

Influences Depeche Mode, Type of Negative, Indochine, Tears for Fears, Danzig, and many more.

It is always hard to review a band you don’t dig and makes you feel sad.

They have made a cover at the end but changed it to sound like their own. A good way to show they can recreate the past with a modern touch.

For the fans of the genre 70/100.
