The pandemic has been challenging for most of us, I must say the new album was going to be delayed, and having a new album sounded like it may not happen. It’s with pleasure I can tell Hexed has proved to be a fantastic band. Kicking us again with more power than their first release.
It is not easy for a band to gain much power and heaviness while composing the next album to succeed in a masterpiece. In the life of Hexed, it is possible. Tina Gunnarsson‘s voice capabilities are enormous, reaching melodies and power as softness. Brings your mind thinking of Sharon den Adel and else, at some point.
The keyboard atmosphere gives you an opera-like vibe exploding with Heavy Metal craziness. It’s all very good to gather more fans and send the band to the top of stardom heights. The couple knows how to write catchy lovely songs that feel so powerful to stick into people’s minds.
While like most bands, the lineup issue can’t be avoided. Hexed released a masterpiece once again. The theme around the history of Sweden’s witch-hunting hysteria in the late 17th century. Amazing cover artwork keeps the soul of the first album, a color that catches your eye to wish for the astonishing music inside.

Influences from Within Temptation, In Flames, Evergrey..and many, a Swedish powerful album. As the mainstream media would say ‘ a mature album” which means just lots of hard work and an awesome engineering process. Mixing/mastering engineer Ronnie Björnström (Sorcerer, Aeon, etc.).
Stellan Gunnarsson‘s growls are more powerful than before giving that deep anger grabbing your heart with passion. Every bit of their composition is well written and feels like a glove. The dark storm is straight in your face. Plenty of single ideas to keep you boiling until the release you will get as fast as a shark.
The fans will get the LP and CD into their collection. Hexed has two new members David Nyman – Guitars, and Patrick Wahlberg – Drums, and we can’t wait to see the band on tour.
