Owl-Company : “Iris” CD & Digital 9th November 2018 Eclipse Records. Brazil Rock / Grunge / Stoner band. Another label who is not afraid to sign different band than they are used to. With a band name like that you are more expected to hear the seventies tunes, but the raw broken voice is reminding those grunge bands such as Nickelback . The groovy tunes with those down tunes guitars gives a bit of Stoner feel to it.
The heavy voice is making it much more agressive but sticks to the music style that has a punk root like all those bands have. Produced by Matt Wallace (Faith No More, 3 Doors Down, Maroon 5) it helps getting a good rounded sound to the album. Live it must be an explosion of distortion. The band is only few years old and have already made an album “Horizon” as a self release.
It is amazing to see a band getting caught by a label that short compared to most bands who have to wait years to get signed. By capturing the essence of the nineties tunes they will gain a success pretty soon.

Thirteen songs to get you in the mood of rocking tunes, you will shake until you drop. A good album with some influences here and there such as Led Zeppelin, Meldrum, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Monster Magnet… you will make your mind up as the voice keeps your ear focused and it is hard to get those influences which is good for a band 96/100.
