Thanateros : “On Fragile Wings” CD 25th March 2022 Echozone. German Gothic / Folk / Rock /Dark Metal band.

Beautiful cover artwork speaks to your mind in many ways. Depending on how you look at it. The band decided to get back to its roots. For the pleasure of the fans, you will get addicted if you love their first effort!

Little line-up change brings you a new drummer to get the songs kicking. The power is strong and you really dig the feel the band wanted to pass away to you. A mix of blending music styles, with angry vocals and deep dark atmosphere reminding a special time of the eighties Gothic music.

The style is still the same, with the violin vibes shredding your heart away. A touch that makes Thanateros a band out of the ordinary even if they have that old music style in their blood.

This dark hard heavy sound that defines the band, brings you back to those early days of deep sadness. It’s a style that many have loved for decades, it’s moving with the lyrics as the melodies each instrument gives. one song has a guest Johanna Krins (Arctic Relief, Delva) talking about depression.

Have a taste :

Influences Billy Idol, Nine Inch Nail, Marylin Manson, Brian Ferry, Midnight Oil, Type of Negative, Stillvolk…While singer Ben Ritcher‘s powerful deep dark voice takes your soul to dive into melancholy and mystery. The rest of the band is making you dance in an Irish kind of tune.

The blending mixture of music styles is cooked in a way to gather as many fans as possible who enjoy good music. It is very hard to describe the band’s direction such it has many pieces of music from all styles.

Overall, if you don’t like to dance, you will shake your body! This is entertainment at its best. Screams, anger, heavy riffs, and passionate play makes it a very nice album. This album is speaking to your soul and you can relate to every song.

Twelve songs to dive into no matter in which mood you are. Produced by Simon Rippin who made a great job to get each instrument its place.

A good album 80/100.
