Triskelyon: “Artificial Insanity” CD and Digital 8th September 2023 Moribund Records. Canada Heavy / Thrash Metal band.

Two years after the first album, the band is bringing another assault of blasting riffs of madness. Out of the imagination, the cover artwork may make you think of a comic book superhero. Keeping the same idea of the previous opus, Triskelyon plays with giving credit to Metal music by having guests mix up styles. One song is typical Thrash Metal and the other one is Heavy Metal.

It is tough to set up this band as its albums, are in the actual range of bands. Sounding like a compilation, each track is unique, so the album has a flavor we are not used to. The good thing is listening to Artificial Insanity will bring you memories of the past bands that for some are still back.

It is a big job to compose such songs that are so close to the original other bands have created. For example, take the song with Cara McCutchen, it is a pleasure to hear her again after so many years. It feels like listening to Mortillery! Then the next song is completely different and will make you remember another band…

Check it out:

Influences Agent Steel, Armored Saints, Iron Maiden, Holy Moses, Helloween, Mortuary, Iced Earth, Exorder, Flotsam and Jetsam, Dark Angel, loudness, Savatage, and many more

The album was mixed and mastered by Michael Small (Winterhearth, Triskelyon, Artach). Leader of the band Geoff Waye has teamed up with tons of amazing musicians to create such a masterpiece.

Amanda Jackman (Category VI), Armin Kamal (Infrared), Cara McCutchen (Mortillery, Naitaka), Dale Drew (Sea Dogs), Des Mason, Ellim, Pete Healey, Raúl Álvarez (Dark Order-Aus.) and Tim Tymo (Tymo), Raul Marques (Burning Torment) , Alexander Raykov (Antreib),  Dwayne Pike, Keith Jackman (Category VI), and Darrin Pope are the ones that deliver power to this album.

In the overall, a monster creation such as the best compilation to blast your days with heavyness.

A must have 100/100.
